Cristiana Estesves is doing an EU ERASMUS+ Traineeship at GeoResources STC from January 5th to June 26th, 2015. Cristiana graduated in geology at the University of Lisbon.
Her traineeship is focused on palynology and palynofacies analysis supervised by GeoResources Principal Geologist Hartmut Jäger. Beside the training in different laboratory processing and preparation methods and different microscopical methods, Cristiana performs a small research project on palymofacies variations in limestone-marlstone alternations. The study includes samples from the Lower Zechstein of southern Poland and the lower Cretaceous of the Algarve, Portugal.
